Discription: During this session, healthcare professionals will learn safe ways for ostomates to carry out everyday movements and strengthen their core. It is suitable for those revisiting a completed Rethinking Recovery course, or who want to use it as an introduction to Rethinking Recovery for a team.Rethinking Recovery: Lunch and Learn is a condensed version of the full-day module developed by Convatec and launched by Sarah Russell. A shorter coure designed to give an overview for healthcare professionals on how to guide stoma patients in strengthening their core and safely returning to everyday activities after colorectal surgery. It focuses on key pre- and post-operative exercises and provides a snapshot of the ExPASS guidelines

Stoma Irrigation

Discription: Colostomy irrigation is not the preferred choice for ostomates, and is not routinely offered to patients with a colostomy. However, irrigation can put patients back in control of their continence, which in turn can reduce anxiety, depression and feelings of self-isolation.This course was created for healthcare professionals who want clear, confident guidance on supporting suitable patients through colostomy irrigation. It was launched to address the need for evidence based teaching on patient selection, safe technique, troubleshooting, and helping patients regain control and predictability in their bowel routine.
